Efficient, you use the word efficient, when you are
travelling; how sad are you?
Short one here. I got up for breakfast this morning, to see
two youngsters, or 24 year olds; (that’s young to someone who is nearly fifty),
busily writing up their journal. After I got chatting, I explained how annoying
it was when there is nowhere to charge your notebook to enable you to keep your
BLOG up to date.
She said, in a matter of fact sort of way, “why don’t you
write it down?” I explained how, if I lost my book, that would be like pulling
my nails out with pliers. Her boyfriend said how he could relate to that,
having had his writing book stolen a few months ago. I also said that it was,
in my view, inefficient to write it up only to have to type it and post it to
the BLOG later. She said “efficient, you use the word efficient, when you are
travelling; how sad are you?” Mmmmmmmm!
Olivia was just completing her journal when, in a moment of
what I can only describe as pure genius, she took out a camera, took a picture
of each pageand, I assume from what I
could make out, sent copies of the picture to a BLOG, website or email address/es.
It all explains why I was only a Chief Executive of a Local
Authority and not Vodafone. So TIMES BEST COUNCIL, did you factor that into
your judgement when you decided who is the most inspirational Chief
Executive!!!!!
A lesson from the youth of today; don’t talk about
efficient; in NIKE fashion, “just do it”!
